Responsibilities

  • Teach theoretical, didactic, and/or skills laboratory nursing courses
  • Prepare lectures, course materials, and examinations
  • Evaluate student performance within the course
  • Hold office hours as appropriate and work under the direction of lead faculty
  • Subject areas include Adult Medical/Surgical, Public Community Health, Maternal Child/Women's Health, Pediatrics, and Psychiatric/Mental Health

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of two years of relevant professional nursing experience within the last five years
  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • Demonstrated teaching competence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience
  • Significant career accomplishments within a specific nursing subject area
  • Experience teaching in a large, diverse, higher education institution
