Responsibilities
- Teach theoretical, didactic, and/or skills laboratory nursing courses
- Prepare lectures, course materials, and examinations
- Evaluate student performance within the course
- Hold office hours as appropriate and work under the direction of lead faculty
- Subject areas include Adult Medical/Surgical, Public Community Health, Maternal Child/Women's Health, Pediatrics, and Psychiatric/Mental Health
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of two years of relevant professional nursing experience within the last five years
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Demonstrated teaching competence
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience
- Significant career accomplishments within a specific nursing subject area
- Experience teaching in a large, diverse, higher education institution
