About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach BDJ 342 TV/Digital News Reporting for the Fall 2026 semester
  • Develop a comprehensive course syllabus and prepare all instructional materials
  • Lead classroom instruction and a live lab session (Wednesdays 9:30am–11:00pm)
  • Hold weekly office hours to provide student mentorship and support
  • Grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner
  • Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Substantial experience in writing and reporting local TV news, including both packaged and live formats
  • Proven experience in digital storytelling across multiple platforms, including social media
  • Ability to instruct classes on designated days and times and hold office hours on campus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • University-level teaching experience
