About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach BDJ 342 TV/Digital News Reporting for the Fall 2026 semester
- Develop a comprehensive course syllabus and prepare all instructional materials
- Lead classroom instruction and a live lab session (Wednesdays 9:30am–11:00pm)
- Hold weekly office hours to provide student mentorship and support
- Grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Substantial experience in writing and reporting local TV news, including both packaged and live formats
- Proven experience in digital storytelling across multiple platforms, including social media
- Ability to instruct classes on designated days and times and hold office hours on campus
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- University-level teaching experience
