About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach one 3-credit section of LIN 374/674 (Topics in Sociolinguistics) during the Fall 2026 semester
  • Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
  • Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
  • Coordinate with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes
  • Build positive rapport with students and faculty members

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Linguistics or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in university-level teaching
