Ph.D. in Linguistics or related field, University-level teaching experience preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach one 3-credit section of LIN 374/674 (Topics in Sociolinguistics) during the Fall 2026 semester
- Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
- Coordinate with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes
- Build positive rapport with students and faculty members
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Linguistics or a related field

- Experience in university-level teaching
