About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and update class syllabi for the DRM 381 Theater Management Practicum course
- Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments focused on practical theater management applications
- Deliver instruction based on course competencies and performance levels
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to support student learning
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
- Build positive rapport with students and fellow faculty members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Theater or Theater Management
- 5+ years of professional experience in a theatrical setting
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Close working relationship with Syracuse Stage
