About the role
Responsibilities
- Co-teach the Sports Media & Communications Proseminar (SMC 601) during the Summer II 2026 semester
- Examine career paths, industry roles, diversity, ethics, and current issues within sports media
- Develop a course syllabus and prepare instructional materials
- Order required books and materials for students in advance
- Hold weekly in-person office hours on campus to meet with students
- Grade student assignments and examinations in a timely manner
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to instruct classes in person on campus
- Ability to hold regular office hours on campus
- Proficiency in operating standard classroom instructional technology (computers, projectors, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
