Part-Time Faculty: Sports Media & Communications Proseminar

Responsibilities

• Co-teach the Sports Media & Communications Proseminar (SMC 601) during the Summer II 2026 semester
• Examine career paths, industry roles, diversity, ethics, and current issues within sports media
• Develop a course syllabus and prepare instructional materials
• Order required books and materials for students in advance
• Hold weekly in-person office hours on campus to meet with students
• Grade student assignments and examinations in a timely manner
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Ability to instruct classes in person on campus
• Ability to hold regular office hours on campus
• Proficiency in operating standard classroom instructional technology (computers, projectors, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
