About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach SPA 301 (Approaches to Reading Texts), introducing students to reading and analyzing texts written in Spanish
  • Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades
  • Work with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes
  • Build positive rapport with students and faculty members

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required
  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in university-level teaching
