About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach DRA 462.3 Musical Theater Auditioning, a three-credit hour course, twice per week.
  • Explore and prepare repertoire across a wide array of styles and genres for live and recorded auditions.
  • Help students build techniques for a professional career in Musical Theater, emphasizing self-awareness and identification of strengths.
  • Develop and update class syllabi, lectures, projects, and student assignments.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and provide timely grading of assignments and exams.
  • Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
  • Build positive rapport with students and faculty members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
  • Expertise in a diverse range of contemporary and historical theater voices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or terminal degree.
  • Equivalent professional industry experience.
