About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach HOM 497 – Music and Politics (3 Credits) during the Fall 2026 semester
- Examine western art music, popular music, and world music as political and cultural forces
- Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit final grades per University regulations
- Coordinate the ordering of appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date
- Work with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes
