Part-Time Faculty: MMI 510: Starting Your Creative Freelance Business

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive syllabus and prepare all course materials for MMI 510
• Provide in-person classroom instruction for a five-week course on creative freelance business models
• Hold weekly office hours on campus to support student learning and engagement
• Grade student assignments and examinations in a timely manner
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades in accordance with University regulations
• Coordinate the ordering of required books and materials for students

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven teaching experience
• Ability to instruct classes in person on Thursday evenings (6:30 PM – 9:15 PM)
• Ability to hold scheduled office hours on the Syracuse campus
• Proficiency in operating standard classroom instructional technology (computers, projectors, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Professional experience in creative freelance industries such as graphic design, writing, photography, video/audio production, or digital content creation
