About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach two sections of MND 408/608 Magazine and News Editing during the Fall 2026 semester
- Develop a comprehensive syllabus and prepare all necessary course materials
- Instruct students on editorial skills including copy rewriting, audience identification, content creation, and fact-checking
- Hold weekly on-campus office hours to support student learning and mentorship
- Grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner and submit progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred)
- Strong journalism background with specific professional experience as an editor
- Ability to instruct classes on-site during designated Monday/Wednesday time slots
- Ability to operate standard classroom instructional technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the university level
- Familiarity with multiple digital and traditional media platforms
