About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments for Legal Foundations and Legal Communications and Research (LCR) courses
- Present instruction based on course competencies and performance levels
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to support students
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and provide detailed feedback
- Order appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
- Meet all designated class periods and attend required meetings
Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Excellent academic record
- Strong research and writing skills
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent classroom teaching
- Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant legal practice in diverse areas of law
- Prior experience teaching at the law school level
