Part-Time Faculty - Legal Foundations and LCR courses

Responsibilities

• Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments for Legal Foundations and Legal Communications and Research (LCR) courses
• Present instruction based on course competencies and performance levels
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to support students
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and provide detailed feedback
• Order appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
• Meet all designated class periods and attend required meetings

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school
• Excellent academic record
• Strong research and writing skills
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent classroom teaching
• Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant legal practice in diverse areas of law
• Prior experience teaching at the law school level
