About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach DRA 435 Jazz Dance IV, an upper-level course for Musical Theater majors, twice per week for 80 minutes.
- Create, adapt, or update a current course syllabus.
- Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
- Present instruction based on the specific competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Build positive rapport with students and fellow faculty members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience teaching dance at the college level.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
