Part-Time Faculty: Jazz 1

Responsibilities

• Teach DRA 135.1 Jazz 1, an introductory jazz dance course for Musical Theater majors, twice per week.
• Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
• Provide instruction based on the specific competencies and performance levels of the course.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty.
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades.
• Ensure consistent attendance and coordinate coverage or substitutes in the event of emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience teaching jazz at the college or professional level.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
