Part-Time Faculty: Intro to Scene Study

Responsibilities

• Teach the three-credit hour Intro to Scene Study course (DRA 219) during the Fall 2026 semester
• Deliver instruction twice weekly for 110-minute sessions
• Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty
• Grade student assignments, exams, and mid-semester progress reports in a timely manner
• Apply acting fundamentals to objective-driven scenes from contemporary drama

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of college-level acting teaching experience
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
• Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced or terminal degree
• Equivalent professional experience
