Part-Time Faculty: Intro to Scene Study

About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach the three-credit hour Intro to Scene Study course (DRA 219) during the Fall 2026 semester
- Deliver instruction twice weekly for 110-minute sessions
- Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty
- Grade student assignments, exams, and mid-semester progress reports in a timely manner
- Apply acting fundamentals to objective-driven scenes from contemporary drama
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of college-level acting teaching experience
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
- Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or terminal degree
- Equivalent professional experience
