About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach DRA 333.1 Intro to On-Camera Acting once a week for 190 minutes during the Fall 2026 semester
- Develop and update course syllabi, lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Apply acting fundamentals to on-camera work with an emphasis on identity exploration and inclusive work from diverse artists
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades
- Meet all designated class periods and follow university protocols for absences or emergencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience teaching acting at the college level
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
- Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or terminal degree
- Equivalent professional industry experience
