About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach ENG 193: Intro to Asian American Literature for 3 credits during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments.
- Order appropriate books and instructional materials in advance of the course start date.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours (two hours per week) to support students.
- Present instruction based on established competencies and student performance levels.
- Meet all designated class periods and coordinate coverage or rescheduling in case of emergencies.
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit final grades according to University regulations.
- Work with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in English or a relevant field.
- Proven experience teaching in a higher education environment.
