About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach DRA 125 Introduction to Acting I for Majors – Voice Verse to first-year Acting and Musical Theatre majors.
- Conduct 90-minute sessions three times per week for six different cohorts during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Lead exercises in physical relaxation, breath support, phonation, resonance, range, articulation, and free vocal expression.
- Develop and update class syllabi, lectures, projects, and student assignments.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and provide timely grading for assignments and exams.
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades in accordance with University regulations.
- Build positive rapport with students and faculty members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proven experience teaching voice at the conservatory or university level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or terminal degree (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification in vocal pedagogy.
