Responsibilities
- Teach various history courses including US, European, World, Asian, Maine Studies, or US/Vietnam history
- Develop syllabi aligned with departmental expectations and design assignments
- Plan lessons and manage grading for assigned courses
- Hold regular office hours and maintain correspondence with students
- Utilize online learning management systems and instructional software
- Participate in course coordination meetings and required orientations
Requirements
- Master’s degree in History or a closely related field
- Academic preparation adequate for the specific history courses to be taught
- Ability to teach in person on campus in Orono, ME
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in History
- At least two years of college-level teaching experience
