About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach COU 614: Group Work in Counseling for the Fall 2026 semester
  • Deliver instruction on principles of group dynamics, developmental stage theory, leadership styles, and leadership methods
  • Integrate practice and theory within multiple group contexts
  • Facilitate student participation in a within-class group experience
  • Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and assignments
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and meet all designated class periods
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
  • Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
  • Participate in departmental meetings and build positive rapport with students and faculty

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Clinical experience leading groups
  • Ability to teach at the college level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous college-level teaching experience
