About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach COU 614: Group Work in Counseling for the Fall 2026 semester
- Deliver instruction on principles of group dynamics, developmental stage theory, leadership styles, and leadership methods
- Integrate practice and theory within multiple group contexts
- Facilitate student participation in a within-class group experience
- Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and meet all designated class periods
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
- Participate in departmental meetings and build positive rapport with students and faculty
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field
- Clinical experience leading groups
- Ability to teach at the college level
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous college-level teaching experience
