Part-Time Faculty: Foundations of Social Work Research

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the course syllabus for SWK 361: Foundations of Social Work Research
• Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments
• Deliver instruction covering research methods, including problem formulation, measurement, sampling, design, data collection, and analysis
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to support students
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
• Complete and submit CSWE competency-based student outcomes for department assessment and accreditation
• Build positive rapport with students and fellow faculty members

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, social science, or a related profession
• Ability to teach on-site in Syracuse, NY, for the Fall 2026 semester
• Availability to meet class requirements (Monday & Wednesday, 3:45-5:05 PM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous undergraduate or graduate-level teaching experience in social work
