Part-Time Faculty: Foundations of Performance for Non-Majors

Responsibilities

• Teach DRA 100 Foundations of Performance for Non-Majors, introducing students to the Actor’s Instrument, imagination, and various acting techniques for stage and screen.
• Create and update course syllabi in collaboration with the Program Coordinator to ensure learning objectives are met.
• Prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and provide timely grading of assignments and exams.
• Present instruction based on the specific competencies and performance levels of the course.
• Build positive rapport with students and fellow faculty members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 5 years of experience teaching acting at the college level.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
• Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced or terminal degree.
• Equivalent professional experience.
