About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach ARI 372 Etching & Relief, a three-credit hour course, during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Instruct students in introductory etching and relief techniques, including single- and multi-color woodcut, hard ground line etching, aquatint, scraping and burnishing, soft ground, drypoint, multi-color printing, and editioning.
- Cover the history and contemporary uses of etching and relief printmaking.
- Develop and update class syllabi, lectures, projects, and student assignments.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and provide timely grading for assignments and exams.
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades in accordance with University regulations.
- Build positive rapport with students and faculty members.
Requirements
- MFA or equivalent degree.
- Proven experience teaching etching and relief print processes.
- Ability to meet all designated class periods and maintain a regular in-person presence on campus.
- Ability to perform some lifting associated with printing processes.
