About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach DRA 115 Drama in Context I twice per week for 80 minutes during the Fall 2026 semester
- Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Provide instruction on a survey of world drama, covering ancient, medieval, and classical forms through to the contemporary landscape
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades
- Meet all designated class periods and manage absences according to university regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
- Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or terminal degree
- Equivalent professional experience in the field of drama or theater studies
