Part-Time Faculty: Drama in Context I

Responsibilities

• Teach DRA 115 Drama in Context I twice per week for 80 minutes during the Fall 2026 semester
• Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
• Provide instruction on a survey of world drama, covering ancient, medieval, and classical forms through to the contemporary landscape
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades
• Meet all designated class periods and manage absences according to university regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
• Expertise in a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced or terminal degree
• Equivalent professional experience in the field of drama or theater studies
