About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach TRF 451/651 Directing for the Fall 2026 semester (3 credits)
  • Develop a comprehensive course syllabus and prepare all instructional materials
  • Lead in-person class meetings on Mondays from 2:15-5:00 PM
  • Hold weekly on-campus office hours to support student learning and mentorship
  • Grade student assignments and examinations in a timely manner
  • Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Substantial professional background in film and/or television directing
  • Ability to instruct in person and hold on-campus office hours
  • Proficiency in operating standard classroom instructional technology (computers, projectors, etc.)
  • Background in Communications is preferred
