Part-Time Faculty: Cinematic Modes of Production: Documentary/Experimental

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach one 3-credit course per week on documentary and experimental filmmaking modes.
• Develop and update the course syllabus, including lectures, projects, and student assignments.
• Conduct demonstrations, readings, and practical tasks to explore theory, aesthetics, and practice.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to support student learning.
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit progress reports and final grades.
• Build positive rapport with students and fellow faculty members.

Requirements

• MFA in Film, Film Production, Film and Media Arts, Motion Pictures, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated professional experience in filmmaking and film production.
• Comprehensive understanding of the film production process, including development and post-production.
• Knowledge of the conceptual and critical aspects of cinematic modes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commitment to ongoing research and/or creative practice.
• Advanced professional experience in the film industry.
