Part-Time Faculty: Book Arts

Responsibilities

• Teach ARI 475/676 Book Arts, a three-credit hour course, during the Fall 2026 semester
• Guide students through the exploration of the artist book as a method for creative expression
• Instruct students in beginning and intermediate level binding methods to create limited edition books
• Develop and update class syllabi, lectures, projects, and student assignments
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and provide timely grading for assignments and exams
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades in accordance with University regulations
• Build positive rapport with students and faculty members

Requirements

• MFA or equivalent degree
• Proven experience teaching a variety of book binding techniques
