Part-Time Faculty: Baroque Art in Southern Europe

About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach HOA 445 – Baroque Art in Southern Europe (3 Credits) during the Fall 2026 semester
- Focus instruction on 17th-century painting and sculpture in Italy and Spain, including artists such as Caravaggio, the Carracci, Bernini, Poussin, Lorrain, and Velázquez
- Develop and/or update the course syllabus and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit final grades according to University regulations
- Coordinate the ordering of appropriate books and materials prior to the start of the course
- Work with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes
