Part-Time Faculty: Ballet II

Responsibilities

• Teach DRA 240 Ballet II, a mid-level course for Musical Theater majors, twice per week for 80 minutes.
• Provide progressive studio study of classical theatrical dance technique, including adagio, turns, petit allegro, and grand allegro.
• Create, adapt, and update a current course syllabus.
• Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty.
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades.
• Meet all designated class periods and coordinate coverage or rescheduling in the event of emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience teaching ballet at the college or professional level.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
