Part-Time Faculty: Audition Techniques

Responsibilities

• Teach DRA 523 Audition Techniques once per week for 170 minutes during the Fall 2026 semester
• Develop and update class syllabi, lectures, projects, and student assignments
• Focus on audition procedures and techniques necessary for careers in theater, film, and television
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit required progress reports and final grades

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 2 years of college-level acting teaching experience
• At least 5 years of successful experience as a theater professional
• Significant experience in current audition processes and demonstrated teaching effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced or terminal degree (or equivalent professional experience)
