Part-Time Faculty - Architecture

Responsibilities

• Teach ARC 221: Concepts of Structures within the Bachelor of Architecture program
• Provide instruction on structural analysis, including vectors, moment and shear calculations, and mechanical design principles
• Educate students on the deforming forces of tension, compression, shear, flexure, and torsion
• Deliver high-quality in-person instruction at the Augusta campus
• Develop innovative curriculum and utilize technology to improve student learning

Requirements

• Master's degree or a professionally accredited degree
• Appropriate professional licensure
• Professional experience with structural systems
• Proven experience integrating structural systems into architectural projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
• Registered Architect with specific experience in structural design
• Demonstrated capacity and interest in teaching Structural Systems
