About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach ARC 221: Concepts of Structures within the Bachelor of Architecture program
- Provide instruction on structural analysis, including vectors, moment and shear calculations, and mechanical design principles
- Educate students on the deforming forces of tension, compression, shear, flexure, and torsion
- Deliver high-quality in-person instruction at the Augusta campus
- Develop innovative curriculum and utilize technology to improve student learning
Requirements
- Master's degree or a professionally accredited degree
- Appropriate professional licensure
- Professional experience with structural systems
- Proven experience integrating structural systems into architectural projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Registered Architect with specific experience in structural design
- Demonstrated capacity and interest in teaching Structural Systems
