Part-Time Faculty: ARC 585 Professional Practice

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive syllabus for ARC 585 covering architect-client relations, legal and financial aspects of practice, business planning, ethics, and project delivery
• Prepare and deliver lectures, projects, and assignments for undergraduate and graduate students
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to support student learning
• Meet all designated class periods and present instruction based on course competencies
• Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit final grades according to university regulations
• Build positive rapport and mentorship with students

Requirements

• Extensive professional architectural design practice experience
• A proven record of recognized built work
• Deep knowledge of firm legal structures and contracts
• Proficiency in business development, branding, and identity
• Knowledge of financial management, fee structures, and project management/delivery
• Ability to teach professional ethics and project delivery models

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture degree program
• Strong intellectual and creative direction regarding innovative and progressive models of professional practice
