Part-Time Faculty: AIC 340/640: Visiting Artist Lecture Series

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with School of Art faculty to schedule weekly visiting artists for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
• Manage communication with visiting artists regarding required paperwork and lecture details.
• Promote visiting artist events through email and social media channels.
• Facilitate visiting artist sessions, including potential studio visits with students.
• Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures or student assignments.
• Assign and grade written student work, attendance, and exams in a timely manner.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and meet all designated class periods.
• Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.

Requirements

• MFA in art or a related field.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience at the college level.
• Proficiency in operating standard computer and projection systems.
• Ability to assess written student work.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
