About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with School of Art faculty to schedule weekly visiting artists for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
- Manage communication with visiting artists regarding required paperwork and lecture details.
- Promote visiting artist events through email and social media channels.
- Facilitate visiting artist sessions, including potential studio visits with students.
- Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures or student assignments.
- Assign and grade written student work, attendance, and exams in a timely manner.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and meet all designated class periods.
- Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
Requirements
- MFA in art or a related field.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience at the college level.
- Proficiency in operating standard computer and projection systems.
- Ability to assess written student work.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
