About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach DRA 321: Advanced Voice/Verse: Accents and Dialects twice a week for 110 minutes per session.
- Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments.
- Provide instruction focused on accent acquisition and acting in dialect using diverse dramatic materials.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty.
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades.
- Meet all designated class periods and manage absences according to university regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 2 years of experience teaching acting at the college level.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
- Expertise in dialects and a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or terminal degree.
- Equivalent professional experience.
