About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach DRA 321: Advanced Voice/Verse: Accents and Dialects twice a week for 110 minutes per session.
  • Develop and update course syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments.
  • Provide instruction focused on accent acquisition and acting in dialect using diverse dramatic materials.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and build positive rapport with students and faculty.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades.
  • Meet all designated class periods and manage absences according to university regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching acting at the college level.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
  • Expertise in dialects and a diverse range of voices in contemporary and historical theater.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or terminal degree.
  • Equivalent professional experience.
