About the role
Responsibilities
- Co-teach FSC 606: Advanced Forensic Science for the Fall 2025 semester
- Develop and update class syllabi and prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours (two hours per week)
- Present instruction based on class competencies and performance levels
- Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Submit completed final grades according to University regulations
- Coordinate with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes
Requirements
- Knowledge of courtroom terminology and legal concepts
- Understanding of courtroom procedures, demeanor, and jurisdictional differences
- Knowledge of rules of evidence and admissibility standards
- Knowledge of pretrial discovery, including the responsibilities of attorneys and experts
- Understanding of the ethical obligations of expert witnesses
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a prosecutor or defense attorney in criminal trials
