Part-Time Extended Day Teacher

Responsibilities

• Support a calm, safe, and engaging after-school environment
• Facilitate a mix of structured and open-ended activities
• Prepare materials and maintain an orderly space
• Supervise and engage with children in a warm, respectful way
• Welcome and engage with families at pick-up, ensuring a smooth transition home
• Partner with the school team to ensure a smooth transition from the school day to extended care
• Contribute ideas and feedback to help strengthen the extended day experience

Requirements

• Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, or camp setting
• Reliable, adaptable, organized, and proactive mindset
• Warm, patient, and engaging presence with children and families
• Ability to take initiative and collaborate with a team
• Genuine love for working with young children
• Interest in learning the Montessori approach
