Responsibilities
- Support a calm, safe, and engaging after-school environment
- Facilitate a mix of structured and open-ended activities
- Prepare materials and maintain an orderly space
- Supervise and engage with children in a warm, respectful way
- Welcome and engage with families at pick-up, ensuring a smooth transition home
- Partner with the school team to ensure a smooth transition from the school day to extended care
- Contribute ideas and feedback to help strengthen the extended day experience
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, or camp setting
- Reliable, adaptable, organized, and proactive mindset
- Warm, patient, and engaging presence with children and families
- Ability to take initiative and collaborate with a team
- Genuine love for working with young children
- Interest in learning the Montessori approach
