Parking Enforcement Bylaw Officer

Responsibilities

• Enforce City of Edmonton Bylaw 5590 for non-moving vehicle violations
• Patrol assigned areas, primarily on foot, in all weather conditions
• Issue tickets and warnings for parking violations
• Educate the public on parking rules and dispute processes
• Complete detailed daily tag and incident reports
• Work special event shifts including sports games and concerts
• Attend court as required to represent findings
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract (less than 3 demerits over 5 years)
• Ability to walk 20–25+ km daily outdoors
• Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
• Strong English communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to pass a TestGorilla assessment
• Must meet at least one of the following: 2 years post-secondary education, 1 year enforcement/security experience, 3 years supervisory experience, or 5 years customer service experience
