Parking Ambassador

Responsibilities

• Act as a customer service ambassador for Michigan Medicine parking facilities
• Assist patients and visitors with directions, finding available parking, and locating vehicles
• Greet and screen visitors at parking structures and provide maps or alternative parking options
• Monitor parking space availability and redirect traffic to available facilities
• Assist parkers with the use of parking equipment, including handling cash or credit card transactions
• Provide physical assistance to patients and visitors, such as helping with wheelchairs, strollers, or belongings
• Drive university vehicles to assist in various parking operations
• Maintain parking structures by assisting with cleaning, trash removal, and snow/ice removal
• Monitor for unauthorized parking activity and report suspicious behavior to security

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of customer service experience (hospital setting preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stay active and moving for most of the shift
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
