About the role

Responsibilities

  • Run campground operations, including processing reservations and reconciling fees
  • Maintain park cleanliness by cleaning restrooms, showers, bathhouses, and maintenance shops
  • Patrol park areas to protect resources and facilities from misuse, hazards, or undesirable activities
  • Inspect park grounds, buildings, facilities, vehicles, and equipment for safety violations
  • Construct, maintain, and restore hiking trails using various hand and power tools
  • Perform maintenance tasks involving carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and landscaping

Requirements

  • Two years of visitor services or maintenance experience (e.g., construction trades, landscaping, or rule enforcement)
  • OR an Associate's degree in a related field (Park and Recreation Administration, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Studies) plus 6 months of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a criminal record and driving record check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing exceptional customer service in a public setting
  • Skill in resolving customer complaints related to camping or park rules
  • Proficiency in basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting
  • Experience working with diverse teams, including volunteers or youth crews
  • Computer literacy for data entry, fee collection, and customer registration
