Park and Ride Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design of Park and Ride facilities from feasibility and concept through detailed design and D&C tender support
• Develop strategies for integrating Park and Ride facilities with rail stations to ensure efficient passenger access and circulation
• Define technical requirements for parking layouts, including capacity, access/egress, and traffic flow
• Ensure seamless integration with multimodal transport systems such as buses, taxis, and pedestrian access
• Coordinate with station design, urban planning, and traffic engineering teams to align with overall infrastructure
• Support the preparation of Design and Construct tender documentation, including specifications and performance requirements
• Optimize passenger flow between parking areas and station entrances to minimize congestion
• Identify and manage risks related to traffic congestion and operational efficiency
• Coordinate with stakeholders and authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and local transport strategies
• Support the integration of smart mobility solutions, including parking management and real-time information systems

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Civil, Transportation, or an equivalent field from a recognized university
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation, parking, or rail-related infrastructure projects
• Extensive experience in the planning and design of Park and Ride facilities or large-scale transport hubs
• Expertise in multimodal integration and passenger flow planning
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering, parking demand analysis, and access/egress optimization
• Proven experience managing technical and coordination aspects of complex infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or membership of a recognized professional engineering institute or association
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices for urban mobility and transport planning
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills in multi-stakeholder environments
