Paramedic

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing reviews
• Manage donor adverse events and medical emergencies according to established SOPs
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate transport to emergency care facilities if necessary
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings in coordination with the Center Physician
• Support employee health programs, including Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccinations
• Manage employee incidents and provide support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current EMT-Paramedic license or certification in the state of assignment
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Basic IV therapy certification (meeting state requirements)
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
