Paramedic

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site patient care within licensed scope of practice at government-designated facilities
• Support intake screening, including medical history collection and vital signs documentation
• Perform daily triage of patient requests and escalate to higher levels of care when indicated
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide stabilization, including airway support and oxygen use
• Support safe patient transfers to hospitals and ensure continuity of care documentation
• Assist with infectious disease screening, isolation, and reporting activities
• Document all patient encounters, medications, and emergency responses accurately in electronic health records
• Participate in required emergency response, CPR, and life-safety training and drills

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Maryland paramedic license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• U.S. citizenship and residency in the continental U.S.
• Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and medical examination
• Physical ability to lift/carry 30+ pounds and perform emergency care in stressful environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certification
• Proficiency in Spanish
