Paramedic

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site patient care within licensed or certified scope of practice
• Support intake arrival screening, including medical history and vital signs
• Perform daily triage of patient requests and escalate care when indicated
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic emergency stabilization
• Support safe patient transfer to hospitals and ensure continuity of care
• Assist with infectious disease screening, isolation, and reporting
• Document patient encounters and clinical information in electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response, CPR, and life-safety training drills
• Comply with OSHA, infection prevention, and hazardous materials procedures

Requirements

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Maryland paramedic license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a medical examination and thorough background investigation
• U.S. citizenship and five-year U.S. residency
• Physical ability to lift 30+ pounds and perform emergency care in stressful environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
• Proficiency in Spanish
