Paramedic/EMT-P

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion processes
• Evaluate and manage donor adverse reactions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Follow medical emergency protocols, including donor transport to emergency care facilities
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
• Support employee vaccination programs and manage workplace incidents in coordination with EHS
• Provide center-level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current EMT-Paramedic certification or licensure in the state of assignment
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Certification in basic IV therapy as required by state licensure
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
