Paramedic - Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and provide care in the Emergency Department
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to support patient treatment
• Administer medications, perform IV starts, dressing changes, and other routine care
• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or hospital bed as needed
• Respond to critical situations and provide CPR when required
• Maintain accurate verbal and written documentation and prioritize care based on acuity

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Paramedic certification or degree
• National Registry for Critical Care Transport, or agreement to obtain within 18 months
• 2+ years of ED and/or CCT experience
• NC state-approved restrictive interventions training within required timeframe
• Valid driver's license
• Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and transfer skills
• Ability to complete competency validation and communicate clearly
