Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Prepare records, review and prepare exhibits, and analyze medical records
• Conduct trial preparation and assemble chronologies of pertinent facts
• Contact outside sources and government agencies to obtain public information
• Search and retrieve information from court-related databases and online sources
• Prepare summaries of pertinent transcripts
• Review, analyze, and organize document productions from opposing parties
• Determine and organize materials needed for expert witness review
• Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses
• Manage documents and organize case files
• Monitor and review third party eFile/eService databases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited program
• 2+ years of toxic personal injury or tort litigation experience (asbestos, talc, silica, benzene, mold, etc.)
• Experience preparing pleadings and discovery requests/responses
• Experience with e-discovery, Relativity, or other document review platforms
• iManage experience
