Paralegal - Trial

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation lifecycle, from pre-claim investigation through trial and appeal
• Serve as a trial technologist responsible for courtroom evidence presentation technology and war room management
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, notebooks, indexes, and exhibits
• File court documents electronically and ensure compliance with local or judge-specific requirements
• Anticipate attorney needs by drafting correspondence and preparing shell discovery documents
• Maintain accurate files, records, and contact information within firm databases
• Coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations, and attorney travel arrangements
• Manage client deadlines, calendar appointments, and billing-related tasks

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience as a legal assistant is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of legal terminology, documents, and litigation processes
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience with document management systems and e-Filing software
• Ability to travel nationwide for trial support
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior litigation experience
• Proficiency with OnCue trial presentation software
• Experience with NetDocs document management system
