Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Support direct client representation by collecting information, reviewing case histories, and conducting research
• Assist with Second Chance Legal Clinics including client intake, document preparation, and litigation support
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to support ongoing engagement
• Participate in community outreach, presentations, and trainings regarding legal remedies
• Connect clients with community resources and referral partners
• Maintain accurate client records and data within the case management system
• Assist with data tracking, reporting, and administrative support for program operations

Requirements

• Associate degree and 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination
• Strong research, writing, organization, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of barriers faced by individuals with criminal records

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree
• Legal research training
• Experience with legal case management software
• Experience with public speaking or community outreach
