About the role
Responsibilities
- Support direct client representation by collecting information, reviewing case histories, and conducting research
- Assist with Second Chance Legal Clinics including client intake, document preparation, and litigation support
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to support ongoing engagement
- Participate in community outreach, presentations, and trainings regarding legal remedies
- Connect clients with community resources and referral partners
- Maintain accurate client records and data within the case management system
- Assist with data tracking, reporting, and administrative support for program operations
Requirements
- Associate degree and 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination
- Strong research, writing, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of barriers faced by individuals with criminal records
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree
- Legal research training
- Experience with legal case management software
- Experience with public speaking or community outreach
