Paralegal - Real Estate and Private Client

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze recorded documents from county records and use GIS maps to identify property.
• Place orders for title commitments, surveys, and encumbrance reports.
• Examine documents to confirm ownership, legal descriptions, and resolve title defects.
• Coordinate with closing companies, surveyors, and county recorders regarding real estate transactions.
• Draft real estate transaction documents including deeds, mortgages, assignments, and affidavits for both residential and commercial properties.
• Support the Private Client group by reviewing client asset information and coordinating property distributions for estates and trusts.
• Maintain organized client files and track closing documentation, recording confirmations, and deadlines.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of paralegal experience with significant exposure to real estate transactions.
• Proficiency in legal practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of real estate documentation, title review, and recording processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate.
• Experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration.
