Paralegal - Private Client

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, distribution, reporting, and transfer of estate assets
• Prepare inventories and asset schedules for estate and trust administrations
• Prepare state and federal fiduciary income tax returns, as well as estate and gift tax returns, under supervision
• Draft and e-file probate pleadings, trust administration, and accounting documents
• Monitor filing deadlines and case schedules to ensure attorney awareness
• Act as a liaison between attorneys and clients throughout the case lifecycle
• Utilize specialized estate, trust administration, and tax preparation software
• Edit and proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with federal and state laws

Requirements

• 3+ years of paralegal experience in estate and trust settlement and administration
• Knowledge of Florida law, including estate and trust administration rules and procedures
• Experience with probate software and Florida e-portal/e-filing systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge and experience preparing federal estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns
