About the role
Responsibilities
- Support Corporate, Securities, and Government Investigations teams with the preparation of basic legal documents and routine research.
- Draft routine correspondence, memoranda, and basic documents using internal templates.
- Perform document reviews, including chronological and alphabetical organization.
- Assist with preparation for discovery, trials, administrative proceedings, and business closings.
- Maintain accurate daily time logs and meet billable hour expectations.
- Adhere to the ethical requirements set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required (College degree preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic technological/research skills.
- Basic knowledge and application of Federal, State, and Local rules.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.
- Flexibility to work overtime or travel on short notice as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or National Association of Legal Assistants certification.
- Prior experience as a case clerk or in a similar legal support role.
- Familiarity with legal technology and computer databases.
